Venture Out-Fitters opened in February 2004 as an outdoor gear and travel apparel store serving Pinellas County, Florida.

Venture Out-Fitters is the life-long dream of avid backpacker and owner Richard Denlinger. After 40 years of experience running Rudy’s Rentals and Ace Hardware in St. Petersburg. He hoped to meet other folks, like himself, who love traveling in the great outdoors. A self-described “gear head,” Richard enjoys keeping Venture Out-Fitters stocked with the latest technical gear.

Venture Out-Fitters strives to provide the Clearwater and St. Petersburg area with the best camping and hiking equipment. Venture Out-Fitters is also committed to introducing the next generation to human-powered sports like hiking and back-packing.
